Startale Group is building StartaleApp, a next-generation Web3 application that brings blockchain and DeFi functionality into a single user experience. The platform spans frontend apps, backend services, smart contracts, wallets, tokens, and on-chain protocols. Applicants must be located in APAC, Asia, EMEA, or the UK (including Singapore and Tokyo).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve the company’s quality engineering platform and testing architecture.
• Build and maintain reusable testing frameworks, shared libraries, fixtures, and developer tooling.
• Design and implement AI-assisted quality engineering workflows (LLM-driven test generation, failure analysis, regression detection).
• Build comprehensive automated test suites covering frontend, backend, APIs, blockchain interactions, and Web3 user flows.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and optimize test execution, performance, and reliability.

Requirements

• 5+ years in SDET, Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or related software engineering roles.
• Strong software engineering skills with JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience designing testing architecture for complex distributed systems.
• Experience building scalable automation frameworks and reusable testing libraries from scratch.
• Strong experience with Playwright or Cypress and testing APIs (REST, JSON-RPC, GraphQL, WebSocket).
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and working with Docker/containerized testing environments.
• Experience designing and implementing performance, load, and reliability testing and debugging distributed systems.

Nice to have

• Professional experience testing Web3 applications, blockchain infrastructure, or DeFi protocols.
• Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals, smart contracts, wallets, tokens, RPCs, and on-chain transaction flows.
• Experience testing DeFi functionality (swaps, liquidity, staking, lending, borrowing) and using blockchain testing frameworks or local networks.
• Experience designing AI-assisted testing systems or integrating LLMs into QA workflows.
• Experience with Kubernetes, cloud-native infrastructure, and observability platforms (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
