Tech Lead | Java

We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead to provide technical leadership for a task-force supporting Payments Services Regulation (PSR) obligations and other Payments Baltic VDE (Value Delivery Engine) initiatives. You will translate enterprise and solution architecture requirements into implementable solutions that are scalable, secure, maintainable and aligned with the VDE target architecture.

Responsibilities

• Translate architectural and regulatory requirements into solution designs and technical plans
• Define and maintain technical standards, development principles and solution patterns
• Lead technical design discussions and validate implementation approaches
• Support estimation, technical planning and feasibility assessments
• Guide development and QA throughout delivery
• Ensure quality, security, performance and operational readiness
• Oversee integration of solutions into the Payments Baltic VDE ecosystem
• Take part in VDE architecture, integration and delivery forums
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and dependencies
• Support environment setup, infrastructure changes and migrations

Requirements

• Strong experience leading complex enterprise application deliveries
• Deep knowledge of Java-based architectures and modern integration patterns
• Kafka, APIs, orchestration design (preferably Camunda), event-driven architecture, microservices, distributed systems
• Experience translating enterprise architecture into implementation-ready solutions
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps practices and Azure cloud environments
• Proven experience in financial services, payments or other regulated environments
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Autonomy: subject matter expert who can lead others
• Management experience is a plus
