This is a contract position for a Software Engineer with strong distributed-systems fundamentals to work on Java backend development.

Responsibilities

• Take an established architecture and turn it into a delivery backlog
• Guide 2 developers
• Review code
• Coordinate across infrastructures/security/DBA/Application teams
• Write production code when necessary

Requirements

• Strong distributed-systems fundamentals around batch/events processing, resiliency, retries, auditability, API Security, Automated testing and production support
• Core skills in Java 17, Microservices/Rest APIs, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Datastax/Cassandra, Openshift/Kubernetes, CI/CD, Splunk
• Experience with integrations into SendGrid and existing enterprise systems
