This role is for a CAD Engineer to drive the architecture, development, and optimization of hardware design flows and infrastructure, collaborating with silicon design, verification, and architecture teams to build robust front-end CAD tooling, automated workflows and continuous integration/presubmit frameworks. The position involves addressing complex hardware design technology challenges, streamlining CAD workflows for high-impact silicon projects, and ensuring high quality and scalability across global engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Work with partner teams to provide the compute, storage and methodology needs of the chip design, verification and physical design teams.
• Design and implement CAD tools, solutions and methodologies for ASIC development.
• Create software solutions that improve the hardware design process through automation.
• Propose, design and implement software automation that directly addresses bottlenecks in today's ASIC and SoC EDA flow.
• Leverage AI to both speed the development of tools and development flows, providing more natural and higher-efficiency ways for users to interact with developed technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor
• Experience with hardware tools and flows.
• Experience with scripting for automation (e.g., shell, Python).

Nice to have

• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures and algorithms.
• 1 year of experience building developer tools that improve developer velocity, code quality and code health (e.g., compilers, automated).
