IOMETE is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join their team, focusing on their enterprise data lakehouse platform. You will work across the entire platform, including backend services, APIs, infrastructure, and user experience, directly with customer teams to solve their problems.

What You'll Do:

Build the core infrastructure that powers IOMETE – Kotlin, Python, Golang services that have to work at massive scale, in hybrid environments
Get deep into Kubernetes – not just using it, but extending it with CRDs, webhooks, control-plane components that make on-site Spark workloads reliable
Work directly with enterprise engineering teams to understand problems, debug issues, and guide integrations
Shape the architecture of distributed compute, query planning, data storage with a focus on solving the customer's actual problem

We are Looking For:

Someone who's tired of building features that look good in demos but fail in production and wants to work on problems that matter
5-7+ years building and operating systems end-to-end (less experience considered if substantial scaled projects are demonstrated)
Built production data workflows, including ETL pipelines that handle messy data and systems that handle failure gracefully
Knowledge of modern data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, and where they fail enterprises
Fluent in at least two languages (Kotlin, Java, Golang, Python, Rust), picking tools based on the problem
Ability to translate "my Spark job is slow" into actual architectural issues, speaking human and system language
Makes architecture decisions thinking about next year, but ships this sprint
Clear English, readable documentation, and ability to explain complex problems without jargon
Takes real ownership, not just component ownership
