We are seeking an exceptional Applied Scientist to join our Prime Video Sports personalization team in Israel. Your expertise will be crucial in tackling complex challenges such as information retrieval, sequential modeling, realtime model optimizations, utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs), and building state-of-the-art complex recommender systems.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, and deploy algorithms into production pipelines
• Work with the latest technologies in recommender systems and search
• Tackle unique challenges like temporal information retrieval to improve real-time sports content recommendations
• Drive the publication of original work in top-tier conferences in Machine Learning and Recommender Systems

Requirements

• Experience building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business application
• PhD, or a Master's degree and experience in CS, CE, ML or related field
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
• Experience in any of the following areas: algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing

Nice to have

• Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals
• Experience creating novel algorithms and advancing the state of the art
• Experience building large-scale machine learning models and infrastructure for online recommendation, ads ranking, personalization, or search
• Experience defining research and development practices in an applied environment
• Experience with big data technologies such as AWS, Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive etc.
• Scientific thinking and the ability to invent, a track record of thought leadership and contributions that have advanced the field
• Technical writing, verbal communication, and cross discipline collaboration skills
• Significant peer-reviewed scientific contributions in premier journals and conferences
