A game development studio specializing in 2D fantasy projects with casual and midcore art styles is looking for a versatile 2D Artist with strong artistic fundamentals and hands-on experience using AI tools in production. The ideal candidate can independently select and combine different tools, adapt to various art styles, and deliver polished, production-ready assets for games and marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Create marketing visuals, promotional artwork, and creative variations using AI tools.
• Develop concepts for characters, environments, props, and backgrounds.
• Produce consistent 2D game assets in established art styles.
• Refine AI-generated content through paintovers, compositing, cleanup, and technical optimization.
• Prepare assets for animation by separating layers, reconstructing hidden elements, and organizing source files.
• Edit videos, animate still images, and produce content for game and marketing needs.
• Explore new AI tools, and experiment with different visual directions.
• Manage tasks independently and incorporate feedback from the Art Director, Marketing, and Development teams.

Requirements

• Proven experience creating 2D game art in various styles, supported by a strong, up-to-date portfolio.
• Hands-on experience using AI image and video generation tools in real production workflows.
• Proficiency in Photoshop or similar software, including paintovers, compositing, and final asset preparation.
• Practical experience in video editing and animation.
• Strong understanding of composition, color, lighting, and form, with a good artistic eye and stylistic versatility.
• Ability to prepare production-ready assets, including layers, transparency, resolution, file formats, and exports according to technical specifications.
• Fast learning ability, proactivity, strong engagement, and ownership of final results.
• English: B2 or higher.

Nice to have

• Experience with fantasy games and casual or midcore aesthetics.
