Product Engineer role at Flex's Migdal Ha-Emek site, which has about 2800 employees and serves over 60 companies. This position is a maternity leave replacement with an option to extend.

Responsibilities

Leading interdisciplinary teams in a matrix organization, with responsibility for the ongoing and successful execution of all areas of performance, planning, timelines, quality and customer satisfaction
Responsibility for all stages of Product Lifecycle Management (PLCM) processes and Product Launch Process (PLP), including:
Project scope management
Project timeline and production management
Monitoring, reporting and managing overall project status
Risk identification and mitigation plan development
Coordinating project forums and meetings, such as status meetings, committees, gate meetings and project launch plans; responsibility for tracking and promoting meeting summaries and tasks to be performed
Proactive communication of program status to relevant functional managers, project stakeholders and program sponsors
Proactive identification of process improvement opportunities and recommendations for changes
Serving as a central point of contact with the customer – understanding the customer's business and technical needs
Assisting the customer in ongoing implementation processes, deepening technical knowledge and understanding of implementation processes in production
Planning short and long-term projects according to industry standards
Prioritizing ECO reviews and accelerating ECO release in the application cycle – reviewing ECOs to check content completeness, impact on internal and external customers, organizational impact and functional impact on the product. Determining the impact of ECOs on products and processes; identifying relevant factors to be integrated into the evaluation, decision-making, responsibility assignment, definition, approval and implementation of the ECO; and routing ECOs to the appropriate parties

Requirements

Bachelor's degree – preferably in a technical / engineering field
3-5 years of experience in project management or leading cross-organizational teams; experience in managing PLCM processes – an advantage
At least one year of experience in an engineering / product environment
Knowledge or experience in NPI / PCBA / SMT / hardware – a significant advantage
Strong program / project management skills and ability to lead and motivate interfaces
Experience leading diverse and high-performing matrix teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize and process information clearly and accessibly for teams and management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools: PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
Certifications from project management organizations – an advantage
High ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with interfaces at various levels
Good written and verbal English
