CAD Design Verification Engineer

As a member of the DV CAD team, you will develop software solutions used by thousands of DV engineers globally, supporting the design process of all Apple chip families (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and more). This role combines DV knowledge alongside modern software engineering practices, with broad impact contributing to the success of Apple silicon.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive software development of multiple tools across the DV space, including cloud-native services, GUI, LLM harness, CI/CD
• Develop and maintain LLM harness for agentic DV workflows, and be responsible for benchmarking and improving accuracy of agentic workflows
• Build and manage cloud-native services running on k8s, including CI/CD, containerization, alerting, databases, GUI and monitoring
• Communicate with DV stakeholders and work to understand user requirements
• Write and maintain Python scripts used as part of design simulation flows
• Support multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements

• BS.c/MS.c in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
• Constantly striving for improvement
• Proven experience with Design Verification – multiple years working in DV or DV CAD space
• Strong software foundation, good understanding of SW basics, including data structures, algorithms
• Proven track record of automating tasks and improving existing workflows and processes
• Good communication skills
• General understanding of the chip design process: hardware description languages, FE, design simulation, synthesis, PD, etc.
• Cloud-native development: experience with docker, k8s, writing HTTP servers, authentication and authorization
• Familiarity with LLM harnesses and LLM frameworks
• Good Python skills, including: familiarity with async programming, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, FastAPI
• Familiarity with SQL and experience working with databases such as MySQL
