As a Software Engineer Intern on the Ad Creatives team, you’ll work on large-scale systems that power advertising across the open web, develop software used by thousands of websites and reach more than 1.4B users.

Responsibilities

Develop software components and infrastructure supporting thousands of websites and more than 1.4B users across the open web
Build and maintain high-scale, real-time systems handling more than 500,000 requests per second and generating 100TB of new data every day
Collaborate with experienced software engineers and product managers to design and deliver new features
Work with CI/CD, A/B testing and large-scale data to develop, test and improve production systems
Work with technologies including Java, Spark, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, BigQuery, Airflow and other modern data and infrastructure tools
Analyze system performance and use data to improve the reliability, scalability and efficiency of our solutions

Requirements

BSc in Computer Science or equivalent, with strong Computer Science fundamentals including object-oriented design, data structures, systems and multithreading
Programming experience in Java or another object-oriented programming language
Knowledge of SQL, data analysis and Big Data concepts
Experience or academic/project experience with large-scale distributed systems
Experience with Generative AI coding tools

Nice to have

Experience with Big Data technologies such as Spark or Kafka
Experience with cloud, containerization or distributed systems technologies
