3+ years as a BA, product analyst, or product owner on B2B software, ideally industrial, ERP/MES/SCADA-adjacent, or dashboard-heavy systems.
Strong requirements elicitation skills: interviews, process mapping, and workplace observation.
Ability to write clear specs and user stories, and to work closely with designers and developers.
Comfort with data-heavy interfaces and with reading process metrics (temperatures, cycles, alerts).
Willingness to work on site at plants and travel as needed.
Food, dairy, brewing, or other process-manufacturing experience, or the ability to learn it quickly.
Familiarity with plant systems (SCADA, MES, lab/quality systems, 1C).
Experience running usability tests or validating prototypes.
Experience with SaaS product thinking (one product for many customers, not custom builds per client).
Working knowledge of Figma or a quick prototyping tool (Lovable was mentioned).
Enough technical understanding to talk to developers about data flow (collectors sending snapshots every 10 seconds, normalization, and so on).
Judgment about when not to build what users ask for.
Diplomacy with plant engineers and operators who may prefer their existing tools.
Structured communication with a small team.
Independence, since the team is small and this person will lead the discovery.
