Описание
This role is at the forefront of moving Microsoft Defender from responding to attacks to preventing them from ever succeeding. You will own the proactive protection charter – Predictive Shielding, Vulnerability Shielding, and identity takeover protection – deciding what Defender pre-emptively shields, on what evidence, and at what customer risk tolerance.
Responsibilities
- Own the vision, roadmap, and priorities for proactive shielding — predictive shielding, vulnerability shielding, and identity takeover protection — from concept through GA.
- Define the protection policy model: what gets shielded automatically, what requires customer opt-in, and how we price aggressive protection against operational disruption in production estates.
- Drive feature specifications and work closely with engineering and security research teams to deliver against the roadmap you set.
- Lead the steering forum and cross-team working groups for shielding, aligning research, engineering, and design across globally distributed teams.
- Run design-partner and customer programs — validate scenarios with enterprise design partners, convert feedback into roadmap decisions, and close the loop on regressions.
- Own the evidence bar for autonomous protection: simulation and validation tooling, false-positive/blast-radius measurement, and the criteria that gate private preview → public preview → GA. Represent the area externally — customer-facing documentation, blogs, conference sessions, and community engagement.
- Capture competitive and market trend data to inform product direction; become the subject matter expert in the domain.
Requirements
- At least 7+ years of experience as a Product Manager, working closely with Engineering and cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise products.
- Experience owning and shipping a configuration, policy, or admin-facing surface in an enterprise product.
- Strong execution and technical problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently drive issues to resolution and understand/debug customer-reported behavior.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with SOC workflows, including incidents, cases, investigation, and response, and an understanding of what analysts need to trust automated actions.
- Experience in the cybersecurity domain, particularly endpoint or identity security.
- Experience working directly with enterprise customers, design partners, or support escalations.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex automated behavior clearly to customers.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Experience collaborating with global, cross-functional stakeholders.
We offer
- Work site 2 days / week in-office.
- Less than 25% travel.
- Full-Time employment.
