Senior .NET Backend Developer

Igniscor is looking for an experienced backend developer with good English (B1+) to work for their Canadian client with C#, ASP.NET Core, and Microsoft Azure. English is required for daily communication with the team.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the backend behind the client's product – distributed, cloud-based systems that have to stay reliable under real production load
• Own features end to end: from clarifying requirements and designing the architecture to shipping, monitoring, and troubleshooting in Azure
• Collaborate closely with the client's team, product owners, QA, and DevOps engineers
• Influence technical decisions – from service boundaries and messaging to data design and AI integrations

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET / ASP.NET Core
• Solid understanding of REST API design
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented design and software architecture
• Experience designing and building distributed backend systems
• Strong experience with relational databases and SQL
• Experience with Entity Framework or another ORM
• Experience with asynchronous programming and concurrent processing
• Understanding of dependency injection, SOLID principles, and common design patterns
• Experience designing systems with reliability, scalability, and maintainability in mind
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to independently take a feature or technical problem from requirements to production
• Comfort with designing and troubleshooting cloud-based applications
• Strong practical experience with Microsoft Azure is highly desirable
