Описание
This remote, full-time Analytics Engineer role is based in Ireland and focuses on structuring, managing, and using data across Isla's Digital Pathway Platform (DPP), a health-tech solution.
Responsibilities
- Work with Product and Engineering teams to identify what data needs to be captured and how it should be structured to reliably measure Isla's impact, including waiting-list reductions, referral-to-treatment (RTT) performance, clinical efficiency and patient outcomes
- Design and maintain how data is structured in BigQuery, from raw sources to clean, documented, trusted tables
- Set consistent definitions so everyone gets the same answer to the same question
- Monitor, forecast and reduce BigQuery spend, and set the practices that keep it under control as the company grows
- Build the datasets and dashboards teams use for BI, client reporting and product insight, and help them self-serve safely
- Shape how data is designed into new features and pathways from the start, so they can be measured from day one
- Answer product and client questions with data, from feature adoption to pathway outcomes
- Apply access controls, quality checks and documentation suited to sensitive healthcare data
Requirements
- 4+ years experience in analytics engineering, BI or data roles where you've owned how data is modelled, not just queried it
- Ability to move between a product conversation about what to measure and the SQL that measures it
- Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, window functions, and investigating messy data to find out what's really going on
- Experience in data modelling, having designed analytical layers (e.g. dimensional or layered staging-to-mart models) and able to explain the trade-offs
- Experience in metric design, able to turn a business question into a precise definition, and spot where the data can't support it yet
- Hands-on experience with BigQuery or a similar cloud platform (Snowflake, Redshift), including managing cost and performance
- Strong communication skills, able to explain data limits and trade-offs to product managers, delivery teams and clients without jargon
- High sense of ownership, able to find what needs fixing and drive it without detailed direction
Nice to have
- Experience building or maintaining ELT pipelines; Python for data work
- Experience working in a startup or scale-up where you've built or significantly improved data infrastructure
- Familiarity with version control, CI/CD, automated testing and infrastructure-as-code
- Experience working with Firebase, Firestore or other NoSQL databases
- Experience supporting customer-facing analytics products alongside internal reporting
- Exposure to healthcare data, sensitive information or regulated environments
- Experience with data governance, access controls and security practices
