This role is for a Backend Python Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure) to build scalable cloud-native backend services and infrastructure for healthcare data platforms, focusing on developing Python services, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and event-driven data pipelines on AWS and Databricks while ensuring secure, reliable, and HIPAA-compliant data processing.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Python backend services and APIs
- Build cloud-native infrastructure on AWS
- Develop Kafka-based event-driven services and data pipelines
- Implement GraphQL APIs and service-oriented architecture (SOA)
- Automate infrastructure using Pulumi and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Develop scalable distributed systems
- Collaborate with architects, platform engineers, and QA teams
- Ensure PHI/HIPAA-compliant data handling and operational excellence
Requirements
- 3-5 years of Backend Python development experience
- Python
- AWS
- Databricks (or equivalent)
