We are looking for an experienced Back-End Java Software Engineer to design and develop mission-critical applications supporting complex warehouse automation and material handling environments. This is a senior, hands-on engineering role focused on Java back-end development, system integrations, databases, distributed applications, and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain complex Java back-end applications and services
• Build reliable integrations between software applications, databases, and automated systems
• Develop solutions using Java/JDK, Java Messaging Service (JMS), Java Servlets, SQL, and TCP/IP
• Work with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases
• Troubleshoot complex application, integration, database, and production issues
• Contribute to application architecture, technical design, code reviews, and development standards
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers
• Collaborate with software, controls, automation, and engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
• 10+ years of professional software development experience
• Warehouse automation/material handling industry experience is required
• Strong Java and JDK development experience
• Experience with Java Messaging Service (JMS) and Java Servlets
• Strong experience with SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and/or Oracle
• Experience with TCP/IP and distributed/client-server applications
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, source control, and defect-tracking tools
• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and back-end application design
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and production support skills
