This role is for a hands-on leader to manage the Data Enablement team at airSlate, which is responsible for how data is modeled, trusted, and prepared for business and AI use. You will lead analytics engineers and web analytics specialists, oversee the semantic layer end-to-end, and transform raw product and event data into curated, well-documented datasets.

Responsibilities

Lead and grow the team, setting priorities, coaching, and ensuring a steady delivery rhythm across analytics engineering and web analytics
Own the semantic layer, designing, building, and evolving SQL-based models and metric definitions for consistent data across products
Enhance data curation and automate routine tasks, moving the team from ad hoc requests to reusable, tested, documented datasets
Set standards and partner across the data organization, defining modeling conventions, version control, testing, release practices, and code review
Stay close to the code on critical builds

Requirements

5+ years in analytics, data or BI engineering, including 2+ years leading a team or leading others technically
Expert SQL and Python skills, capable of setting query and performance standards, rewriting expensive queries, explaining trade-offs, handling incremental loads, deduplication, slowly changing dimensions, and owning production Python components
Experience with data modeling and pipelines, designing warehouse and mart models (including a semantic layer), choosing methodologies (star schema, Data Vault), and optimizing/troubleshooting pipelines on cloud stacks (AWS: Athena, Redshift, Glue) and orchestration tools (Airflow)
Strong engineering discipline, setting branching and code review standards, requiring schema and data tests and CI before release, and leading risky changes with clear rollout/rollback plans
Proficiency in data quality and data fluency, designing validation to catch problems, fixing root causes, setting documentation standards, and investigating unfamiliar sources
Focus on business impact, designing solution options, splitting cross-team work, building dashboards for decision support, and becoming a trusted partner to business leaders
Experience with AI in everyday work, redesigning team workflows around AI tools, and evaluating AI outputs for quality, privacy, and bias
Leadership and ownership skills, owning complex team-level projects, making high-impact decisions, coaching people, setting clear scope expectations, and turning change into actionable steps
Excellent communication skills, clarifying complex ideas, building consensus across teams and time zones, and communicating in fluent English

Nice to have

Experience with dbt or a similar transformation framework
Web analytics and tracking (GTM, GA4)
B2B SaaS or document-workflow / e-signature background
