Platform Architect / Technical Lead

This role involves taking full ownership of an AI platform architecture that turns satellite imagery and sensor data into actionable insights for maritime monitoring and critical infrastructure protection, and bringing the existing system to production. This is a hands-on role where you will lead technical decisions and write critical code yourself, working in a small team with the client’s CEO and AI/ML engineer.

Requirements

• Proven track record of delivering geospatial platforms (WebGIS, spatial data platforms) to production
• 7+ years in software development, including several years as a tech lead, architect or CTO
• Hands-on mindset: you still write code and work with infrastructure yourself
• Strong AWS experience: architecture, deployment, cloud operations
• Python backend development and integrating AI/ML models into production
• PostgreSQL/PostGIS and geospatial data modeling
• Production data ingestion and processing pipelines
• Experience with logging, monitoring, authentication and RBAC
• English B2+

Nice to have

• Earth Observation, optical and SAR satellite data, sensor/data fusion
• Satellite data experience (especially SAR)
• Experience with ESA/EU space programs
• Swedish language
