xEngineer Team Lead (Backend Oriented) for Viewer

As a Team Lead at Viewer, you will lead the development of the infrastructure that renders over 250 million Wix sites with the highest SLA and speed worldwide. You will oversee the creation of one of the busiest Scala and Node.js services at Wix, handling over 1 million RPM, and ensure SSR processes are efficient and scalable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team responsible for managing all of Wix’s public traffic (> 1 million RPM)
• Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship
• Design, develop, and lead major features
• Maintain high standards of software quality by establishing good practices and habits
• Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain extraordinary features
• Solve challenging problems in complex business flows with creative solutions

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience managing backend engineers
• Proven expertise in designing scalable, distributed, and efficient systems
• Passion for building high-quality software and ensuring production excellence
• Excellent communication skills to support thousands of engineers and foster collaboration
• Proactive attitude and eagerness to understand the "why" behind processes
