This team works at the intersection of machine learning, hardware, and software, creating technologies that reshape how people communicate and experience the world around them in everyday life.

Responsibilities

• Shape the architecture and quality of our Python services and the React-based interfaces built on top of them
• Design and build data collection backends, APIs, and internal tools used by research and hardware teams
• Build and maintain desktop tooling, including Electron-based applications
• Set technical direction and the standards other engineers build upon

Requirements

• BSc in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of experience building production Python backend applications
• 3+ years of experience building frontends with React (TypeScript preferred)
• Solid understanding of REST/gRPC API design, databases (SQL and NoSQL), and service architecture
• Proven track record of independently leading projects end-to-end: defining scope, designing the architecture, breaking down the work, and driving execution through to delivery
• Proven expertise in designing and shipping large-scale, production-grade applications
• Experience with asynchronous Python (asyncio) and modern frameworks such as FastAPI
• Experience with CI/CD, debugging across platforms, and performance optimization in distributed systems
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments
• Strong analytical, architectural, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience mentoring or guiding peers
• Proficiency in Git and modern development workflows

Nice to have

• Experience building desktop applications with Electron
• Familiarity with Bluetooth/BLE or IoT device communication
