Senior Product Designer (Banking)

Unlimit is looking for a Senior Product Designer to join their Banking & Fintech team in Belgrade. The role involves working on complex financial products, including banking interfaces, payment flows, transaction management, and merchant-facing platforms, with a focus on using AI tools to speed up design processes.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design process, from requirements and user needs to prototyping, implementation, and post-launch improvements
• Translate complex business requirements into intuitive, scalable user experiences
• Work with product stakeholders to identify problems and make informed design decisions based on business goals, user needs, and product metrics
• Proactively find opportunities to improve existing products and user journeys
• Design and improve banking dashboards, payment flows, transaction management, and merchant-facing applications, considering regulatory and technical constraints
• Design complete user journeys, including empty, loading, error, success, and edge-case states
• Ensure consistency and usability across web and mobile
• Use AI tools (Figma AI, Claude, v0.dev, or similar) to explore UI variations, generate concepts, and build interactive prototypes
• Experiment with emerging AI capabilities and integrate them into everyday design processes
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for usability, consistency, and alignment with requirements
• Contribute to existing design systems, UI components, and patterns
• Work closely with Product Managers, Frontend Developers, Solution Architects, System Analysts, and QA Engineers to ensure solutions are technically feasible
• Prepare clear specifications and support implementation through development
• Conduct competitive analysis and evaluate existing user journeys
• Use user feedback, research, and product data to inform decisions
• Participate in usability testing and keep improving experiences based on feedback and performance

Requirements

• 6+ years in Product Design, UX/UI Design, or related roles, focused on digital products
• 4+ years designing for Banking, Fintech, Payments, or related financial services
• Strong product thinking: understanding business goals, identifying user problems, challenging requirements, and proposing effective solutions
• Proven end-to-end ownership, from discovery and concept to implementation
• A strong portfolio showing complex interfaces, user journeys, and the reasoning behind design decisions
• Advanced Figma skills (components, auto-layout, variables, prototyping)
• Experience with design systems and reusable UI components
• Hands-on use of AI tools in daily design work (ideation, UI generation, prototyping, exploration)
• Strong grasp of interaction design, usability, and complex multi-state flows
• Understanding of frontend principles and technical constraints
• Ability to work independently, collaborate cross-functionally, and clearly communicate design decisions

• Annual salary range of $112,000-$188,000
