This role is for a Senior Data Engineer at NielsenIQ, a consumer intelligence and analytics company.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, validate, secure, optimize, and maintain enterprise grade data pipelines using Python, SQL, and Snowflake
- Shape best practices, coding standards, and software architecture at an organizational level
- Lead solutions that improve data pipeline quality, performance, and reliability across the organization
- Deep-dive and optimize cost and performance in Snowflake, Azure, and Docker
- Develop and scale CI/CD workflows across Azure, GitHub, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Enforce and maintain DevSecOps practices - secrets management, SAST, DAST
- Mentor junior engineers, lead design and code reviews, and drive POC projects
Requirements
- Strong experience with Python, SQL, and Snowflake
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, data warehousing, workflow orchestration, CI/CD, and DevSecOps
- Experience mentoring engineers and leading design or roadmap discussions
